About CBT Edinburgh

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based therapeutic approach that focuses on identifying and modifying unhelpful thoughts, beliefs and behaviours that contribute to mental health difficulties. CBT aims to help individuals develop practical skills and strategies to improve their emotional well-being and cope with life's challenges.

As a CBT therapist, Ellie uses a collaborative and goal-oriented approach to therapy. Sessions typically involve exploring the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviours and identifying and challenging negative thinking patterns. With CBT, individuals can learn practical techniques to develop healthier coping mechanisms and achieve lasting change.
